Fourth Grade Team
Dana Duryee
Ms. Duryee, Ms. D, has been a Huerta Wolf for 16 years! She has taught several different grades, but fourth grade has a special place in her heart. Ms. D is the cheerleading coach and choreographs the school’s musicals. She has a husband, a son, and two very naughty dogs. When she is not teaching, Ms. D loves to be outside with her family.
Angela Andrews
Mrs. Andrews has been teaching for 17 years. She taught 2 years at Sam Rosen then moved to Dolores Huerta when the school was built. She currently teaches 4th grade math and science, but has also taught 1st, 2nd and 5th. Mrs. Andrews is the co-teacher for student council and the coordinator for Math Night. She was the 2007 teacher of the year at Huerta. She lives with her husband, her son and daughter, and a menagerie of animals. When not teaching, she enjoys growing plants, learning about new things and watching reality TV.

Marisol Herrera
Ms. Herrera has been teaching for 7 years; all at Dolores Huerta! She currently teaches 4th grade math and science, but has also taught 3rd and 5th grade. Ms. Herrera is the sponsor of our school STEM Club and Chess Club, and also coaches the UIL Number Sense Team in the spring. She has one son named Nemico, one crazy dog named Moxie, and loves to bake and do puzzles in her spare time.
Alejandra Vargas
This is Ms. Vargas's fourteenth year teaching here at Dolores Huerta. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in bilingual education from Texas Wesleyan University in 2006. Last year, she received her master's in Education from the University of Texas at Arlington. Ms. Vargas has two daughters. Ana is 19 and attending college this year, and Mia is 15 and going to high school. When she is not teaching Ms. Vargas likes spending time with family and friends.
